Greetings from Thailand!!

It’s that time again for another review of my month. Cambodia- Month 3

( If you prefer not to read, skip down to the video where I show you a review of my month in Cambodia)

The video begins with our travel from Africa to Asia. We arrived at the Accra Airport, in Ghana, at midnight and our flight was not until 1pm the next day. Yikes! So… after a good nap in the airport we boarded the plane, flew to Ethiopia and after a 2 hour layover we boarded the plane headed to Thailand. We then spent the night in Thailand and boarded the plane once again for a 1 hour flight to Cambodia.

During our time in Cambodia we were teachers! In the morning we taught English to pre-schoolers. As the school was not walking distance from where we were staying, we had the pleasure of riding our bikes to the school. It’s odd, I call it a pleasure given I initially didn’t like the idea, as I have not rode a bikes in years and I was scared to ride a bike in another country ,amongst cars and where traffic lights are not a necessity. Fortunately after much prayer, I got on the bike and Jesus took the wheel 😉 Working with pre-schoolers was tiring to say the least but they were oh so cute!

In the evening we worked with our Ministry host family who has been in Cambodia for 3 years . Their school, Ezra ministries, focuses on sharing the gospel by teaching students English. Most recently they just opened up a library cafe. We were able to assist them with working on the library cafe, through the sorting of books and lots of painting. The library cafe will be a place where people can come in, get a good snack, coffee and read a good book. The funds for the library cafe will be used to assist their ministry of sharing the gospel as they teach the students English for free.

During our time teaching at Ezra ministries we were able to share the true story of Easter and the fact that Jesus died for us, out of love, because of our sin. The last day at the school, we were even able to do a puppet show, which focused on fear. We told the story of Esther and taught the students the verse 2 Timothy 1:7 God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.
