As you go through life, it’s inevitable that you go through things. You go through these things and they change you. The Lord uses them to shape who you are. You collect these stories along the way of your journey, even if you don’t notice them. These stories are a part of who you are and they show where you have been, what you’ve walked through, and who you’ve met. But the good ones, the ones worth telling, those are the ones we tend to keep to ourselves. The stories that change you and make you who you are are the ones that usually take a back seat. Why is that? Why do we tend to hide the stories that have such an ability to make an impact for the Lord? These stories are usually the ones that speak to our hurt and our growth, and it’s hard to be vulnerable with others. But the Lord asks us to share our stories, our testimonies of His faithfulness, and the ways He’s grown us and showed us how good He is (Rev. 12:11)
On the Race, I have the incredible opportunity to be the Squad Storytelling Leader. I’m supposed to encourage, empower, and equip people on our squad and my team to share their stories – to tell about what Christ is doing in their lives and what they’ve witnessed Him do in others. Like I said, I think this is an incredible opportunity, but I also think the Lord is asking me not to limit myself to my World Race squad.
So with that being said, I want to encourage you all to do the same! You have a story to tell and you have a voice, so I encourage you to use it! Your stories that have changed you and made you who you are are important and they need to be told!
So go! Go and be bold about what Jesus has done and is still doing for you! As followers of Christ, we are equipped with everything we need to go and share our lives and give glory to Him.
On another note, I’ll try to make a video of this month. I didn’t film much so I don’t know what that will look like. Thanks again for all of your support! means the world to me. If you have any prayer request just leave a comment and I’ll email you to ask about it!
