So, it’s been just shy of a full year since I wrote my last blog post! Which is probably not good… I apologize for not keeping you all (my lovely supporters and those considering support and just those who are interested in what the world race is) updated as to how my support raising journey is going.
I’m just going to be honest with you all: I was burnt out on the whole process of gathering support and discouraged by many people not expressing interest. So, I decided to buckle down and work as much overtime as was physically possible and save up the money myself, because I don’t need people, right?
Wrong!
For an undertaking as big as this, I desperately need all the help I can get! No matter how much overtime I work, I’ll never be able to raise the full amount I need. So, I’m not ashamed to say, I need your help…
I have been blessed to be 73% funded! Which is $12,475!!!! How awesome is that?!? Thank you to all my supporters who’ve helped me get there (you know who you are)!
But… I still need your help…
I only need $4,600 to be fully funded!!
That’s just mind blowing to me! When I decided I wanted to go on the race, the biggest concern was, “How am I going to raise over $17,000?” I didn’t know then and I’m still not quite sure now. I can only say it’s because of the Lord that I have raised as much as I have.
So, that being said, I have a challenge for you…
If you want to support me, but you’re thinking, “I can’t afford to donate that much money.” You don’t have to!
If I could get 20 people to commit to donate $30 a month (that’s right, I said only $30), accompanied with my own money I’m committing, I would be fully funded by my final deadline in November!!
So, that’s my challenge to you.
Would you consider giving $30 for the next 5 months, so you can partner along side me in this crazy journey that God is doing in my life, in your life, and in the lives of the people that my squad and I are going to encounter?
