R Squad
I can sum up the whole entire training camp in one word that is “IMPACTFUL.” We lived in tents every night, shower with buckets, ate food mostly with our barehands. We were trained physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Yeah, it true is very tiring. Each day we had a theme, every other day was a country, food and clothes was simulated, rice and beans, jeans and skirts. Fitness hike with all our gear, two miles under 38 minutes. we had three different scenarios. one was lay over at a airport, living in a host home family, two racer live in one backpacking backpack.
Wow leaving my family, friends, our comfort zone, for nine month/39weeks/6570hours. It is real, this is God’s will for me and all of those racers, give up and leaving everything behind, to serve others and to share the Gospel!
We were taught about commission, different way to evangelize, from Hinduism, muslim, buddhist. Understanding of listening prayer. Learned where is our roadblock affect our intimacy with the Lord. From powerful feedback to communication.
The most inspirational thing I learned was, that God deserve all the praise, even when I don’t feel the spirit moving in me. This few month, I can see and know God is moving in my life with fundraising, preparing for World Race, able to serve at Pine Cove. In worship, I don’t feel the Holy Spirit filling and moving in my heart, I realize I wasn’t alone. I don’t care if I feel it or not I will still stand and worship the God of creation, King of all kings!
