Not to be cliché, but don’t we all know that change is inevitable? And honestly, most of the time, I am ok with change.

In fact, Gallup has an extensive scale called CliftonStrengths. This assessment is based within the field of positive psychology. It attempts to reveal the top five strengths of each individual. The goal is to assist individuals to continue to develop their top strengths, in turn improving their work place environment, familial relationships and overall strategy in life.

My top strength is adaptability.

People who possess adaptability as a top trait, according to Gallup, “prefer to ‘go with the flow.’ They tend to be ‘now’ people who take things as they come and discover the future one day at a time.”

Truly, this trait is from the Lord. As Christians, we have the hope and the security of knowing that the Lord is ultimately, fully in control. So what worry of change should we have?

We can see this evidenced in Scripture.

“Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own,” (Matthew 6:34)

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19)

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God,” (Philippians 4:6-8)

“Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail,” (Lamentations 3:21-23)

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever,” (Hebrews 13:8)

So what does this all mean in so far as I prepare for the World Race?

Well, first, our route has a change!

Rather than going to El Salvador, my team will be going to Honduras instead.

Second, and most obviously, the World Race will be a huge change in my life.

I will be going from living in my own room and participating in American culture to participating in many different types of cultures, living with people whom I do not know yet and confining everything I owe to the parameters of two backpacks.

Additionally, every month we will change not only what country we are in, but also what type of ministry we will be working with. My team and I will have to be open to change as we move from working with orphans to sex industry workers to working in construction to teaching English.

So, please pray for me. Pray for the team I will have. Join me in prayer for the funds to come in.

My $6,000 goal is coming up in May. Please help me reach this next step!

I appreciate each of you so much. Thank you for keeping up with my journey and thank you for supporting me with your prayers, funds and time.
