Costa Rica is beautiful in every way and God has really been working in my life to grow closer to him. Many times it is hard but I am starting to overcome the things that are hard on me. For example, missing home has been the hardest thing for me so far.
Every morning I wake up at 5:30 get ready and then I take time to myself and pray about what the day is going to bring me and how my attitude will reflect the Lord. We eat breakfast at 6:30 and then right after at 7:00 we have 30 minutes of devotion time by ourselves. That is when I start to grow closer to the word because I focus in on what the Lord has to tell me and make sure I use that time wisely so I can understand Him more. At 7:30 we leave for our ministry and it takes us about an 1 1/2 hour bus ride to get to our bus stop and then we hop on to the public bus to our ministry. We get there about 9:00 and we have ministry on Tuesday- Saturdays. We have ministry from 9:00-3:30 and then the bus comes to get us. We hop on the bus and then we sit on that bus for about 4 hours because we pick up other teams. This bus ride home gets rough for all of us because we are just exhausted from our day. This is something our team is trying to work on together so that we can have better attitudes. One thing I have learned on these bus rides though is all of God’s beauty. I look out my window and see all the beautiful towns that we drive through and I am just amazed how awesome it is. I think to myself every day wow I really am lucky to be here and its awesome. Every day we get home at 7pm and then we eat dinner right away because it started at 6:30 for dinner.
I love it here in every way. There are times where I struggle a lot but I am starting to get to the point where I will just think of something positive instead of think of negatives. I am so blessed to be here at my ministry teaching others.
