Mom and Dad. Thank you. Thank you for letting go of not only your daughter but your youngest child. To go embark out into the world. The unknown. Who you thought was just moving half way across the U.S to go to college and then come back. I thought so too haha. But God had other plans in mind.
Turn out Tulsa became a place that allowed me to not only live my dreams but chase them.
You let me go to discover my dreams in the U.S and now you’re letting me go discover and live my dreams all around the world.
I know you’d rather have me safe at home.
But instead, you’re allowing me to live my life and use it to help others. So thank-you for that. I’m sure you knew before I even did that I was going to be the adventurous child.
I know it’s not easy, so thank-you. I get that it takes a lot of courage, and even then I don’t fully understand because I’m not a parent so I don’t know what it truly feels like to let one of your children go out into the world, but I imagine it isn’t easy.
Thank-you for trusting my decisions (even if you might not agree with them haha!)
Statistically, my life should look so different right now. But God stepped in and did what only He could do, and has given me a voice. A story. And I don’t intend on wasting it.
