from my last blog, you read that i, along with my team, have been re-painting a home. now, i don’t know if any of y’all have ever painted for 6 hours a day, but it’s tiring! my thumbs have blisters from scrubbing the paint out of the paint rollers, my feet hurt from balancing on the ladder to paint the trim, and i’ve been super drained and exhausted. keep in mind that air conditioning isn’t always a thing here and windows are always open, so being in a small compacted space with nothing but open windows, maybe a fan, and body heat, it gets pretty clammy and sweaty is my new look!
though this sounds awful, truly being sore and sweaty is the greatest thing ever because behind it all i am growing in relationship and fellowship with my lovely team and leaders and the women this is all for! behind it all, is the nonstop high school musical, JB, big time rush, victorious, moana, t-swizzle, and so many more! the excitement and joy that goes along with being in pain and hot is what makes this adventure to further the Kingdom even better! i asked for the real world race experience, and so far i’m not being let down!!!!!
even with the heat of the day, the pain from the ladder and many blisters from rollers and my chacos, the paint staining my contact lenses, life is good and God is forever greater. i couldn’t ask for more. i wouldn’t even ask for better. this is my life, this is world race.
