Fundraising can be extremely stressful, wouldn’t you agree? I mean here I am trying to raise $15,800 in order to travel the world to spread the Good News, and I don’t even have enough money in my bank account to get a taco for lunch!!!
I think the hardest part of fundraising is putting my FULL trust in God to provide the money, especially when the shirts (the super awesome shirts from Fund The Nations and 10/10 recommend) you ordered get sent to the wrong address in the wrong town 2 to 3 times and are a week late! It’s extremely frustrating, and my little patience is definitely being put to the test through fundraising.
Although I’m stressed and anxious about being able to raise the full amount and complete the deadlines, I’m having a ton of fun! Thanks to Threads Of Hope (also 10/10 recommend because they’re awesome), I have teamed up with them to sell beautiful, handmade bracelets. I started out selling them at school and everyone seems to be enjoying them so much! Seeing the bright colors on my classmates’ wrists and ankles brings me so much joy and so much peace in knowing that God is working.
Just being able to share with people, some whom I may not even know, is a blessing beyond measure! The greatest thing is seeing people donate money, whatever the amount, to my blog and being able to see that bar fill is incredible! That was the part I was the most nervous about… A lot of people don’t follow, or check up on blogs very often, so getting the emails of who has subscribed or who has donated is AWESOME!!!
I have so many people to personally thank and pray for, and without God providing and answering my prayers, I wouldn’t be anywhere near the amount money I have raised so far. God definitely puts the ‘fun’ in fundraising!!!!!!!
