Hey Fam!

If you didn’t see my info video on FB yesterday, I’m going LIVE on FB TONIGHT at 6pm CST to answer any questions you have about the WR. Hope you can tune in!!

As I was prepping for tonight, I stumbled upon multiple blogs that I wrote in the “notes” section of my phone, but never posted. So strange!! I REALLY think you need to read this one, so I figured that even though this happened a hot minute ago, it shows God’s goodness!!

When I first said yes to going on the World Race, there was one pretty big obstacle standing in the way: fundraise $18,200. I honestly wasn’t nervous about raising the money. I know God is wayyyy bigger than $18,200(like come on-it’s God) I was excited to see what the story would be. What the fundraising story would be. How God would do it…Before I made an announcement that I was going, I began praying for who God wanted to reach through my fundraising. As I jotted down ideas, I always put “host a 5k” on the list. Had I ever done that before? Nope. Did it kind of make me laugh everytime I wrote it down? Yes. Because it’s a pretty big idea. As time went on, the 5k started falling into place and it was happening. Me hosting a 5k(again laughter) For months, God painted a very specific picture multiple times in my mind: I saw a stage with a band, a little brown haired girl about the size of an 8, 9, or 10 year old with her hair in a pony tale facing the stage and then me about 10 feet behind the little girl facing the stage as well. God highlighted this little girl to me. I didn’t know who she was, but I knew God was going to show her something at the 5k—maybe she had never heard the gospel, maybe she had never heard of Jesus. I honestly didn’t know. I just knew—this girl was special, and she was why I was hosting a 5k.

On the day of the 5k, I was all over the place trying to make sure things were in its place. We ended up having a band on a stage, and I was so thankful (still thankful) to have everyone come out and support.

But the vision of the little girl slipped my mind.

A few weeks later, I was at my aunt and uncle’s house spending time with family before I went off to the World Race. We had taco Tuesday, and then we were all just hanging out in the living room. As I sat on the edge of the couch, my little cousin (10 years old) walked up, sat on the floor next to me, looked up at me and asked “Savannah, how do you tell people about Jesus?”

IN THAT MOMENT—God showed me the picture of the little brown haired girl at the 5k facing the stage with her hair in a ponytail, and it was her. It was my cousin. As I looked at my cousin, I saw so much love, hope and faith in her eyes.

She had seen me standing on a stage telling people about Jesus, and it showed her it‘s possible. Someone as regular as her older cousin who has taco tuesdays with her was able to tell people about Jesus—She wanted to now.

God places specific things on our heart for a reason. It may not make sense at the time, but He asks us to be obedient
