WE ARE OVER HALF WAY THROUGH THE WR!! (But really how crazy is that, time is flying by)

So here are some updates from the first half of the race

I struggled with posting this because I wanted to make sure my heart was in the right place with this, but I also wanted to let you know how your help has made a difference in the world. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t boasting about what I was doing and being prideful, but instead boasting about what the Lord is doing. Yes, I am here and doing things but I am a vessel used by God to do His work.

So – here are some of the amazing things that have grown the kingdom because of your love, prayers, and support:

Dominican Republic:

  • Assisted our hosts in preparations for furthering their ministry: helped clean the property for upcoming plans to build refuge housing for women and children; worked on websites for their ministry ( a few of these included revamping their old websites, and a few included building websites from scratch – one of these included a website of courses to further train their local pastors!)
  • Helped with building the foundations of a home
  • Worked with a school to paint a mural and teach English part of the time we were there
  • ministered to locals

Haiti:

  • School preparation for our host academy; both assignments and building preparations  (God bless teachers for all of the work they do!)
  • Assistance with the first couple days of school
  • Loved on the kiddos in the ministry orphanage we stayed with (THIS WAS SO LIFE GIVING! Wow I really miss my kiddos)

South Africa:

  • Worked in a handful of squatter camp communities getting to know and evangelizing to people, helping with kids programs in squatter camps, working at the ministries schools every Friday

Botswana:

  •  Helped ministry host promote and host movie nights for the communities at ministry cafe
  • Two team members worked in the cafe, which sells bibles and Christian literature for cheaper than other stores so they’re more affordable (ps, bibles in native languages are really expensive!)
  • Evangelized to our local village
  •  Ministered to our host after the recent loss of his wife

Zambia:

  • Built relationships with families in the neighborhood ( the ministry just moved there to be more a part of this community so we helped them to get ppl to know they are there)
  • Evangelized

India:

  •  Preached every day sometimes twice a day to different village churches
  • Prayed A LOT

This is just a short list but here it is!

Thank you for all of your support in these previous months. I can’t wait to see what God does in the next half of the race!
