I take a lot of photos.
Just ask my teammates… The shared Google albums that we have are pretty numerous.
Most of the time, these pictures don’t really tell a story that others outside of the World Race can understand. They are the “behind the scenes” moments that bring back the smallest memories. Yet, I treasure them so deeply. As a reminder of the “behind the scenes” moments of the World Race, I wanted to create something with all of these random pictures. These random pictures that capture the everyday life of the Race. I wanted to be able to look back at them and remember the time that I laughed so hard I cried or the travel day that took an eon-long.
Big moments on the Race are typically the ones that people talk about the most. They are the moments that changed the trajectory of their life: bringing someone to Jesus, climbing a volcano, getting to that place with God. But, these little moments on the Race are what will slip away. The every day, the mundane. I don’t want to forget the little moments because one day, I will look back and realize that they helped me get to the big moments. They were the spark that caused the firework to light – the firework that would light up my life.
These are my little moments, week by week, month by month.
