The first 5 months on the World Race, the squad is accompanied by a few lovely people. They are called Squad Leaders. They have previously done the World Race and felt God call them to pour back into the ministry. Thus, they return to the field with a brand new squad to show them the ropes essentially. They help with spiritual growth, logistics, debriefs, and honestly everything in between. They rotate between the teams for the time that they are with us in the field. Since they have done the World Race before, they are a wealth of knowledge!
I Squad has 3 wonderful squad leaders: Danny, Hope, and Carson.
For month 1, SOLDOD was incredibly lucky to have Danny with us for the entire month. Let’s just say he is a goof and fit in well with our team (we are just slightly goofy…okay more like insanely goofy). On the way to Ukraine, he told Megan about how the number 823 was special to him and basically was the way that God was telling him that He loved him. Being the conspiring people that we are, we decided to do something special for Danny on August 23rd (8/23) to show him what he meant to us. To say that it was an incredible day is an understatement. It will easily go down as one of the best days on my Race. If you want to see what went down, check out the video below!
