A lot has changed in my life recently. I completed my last semester of college at Mississippi State, graduated with a degree in Building Construction Science, and I have moved back home. This has been one of the weirdest adjustments for me because all of my friends and classmates are preparing to start their “adult lives”, while I am essentially pressing the pause button on mine. However, this time that I have before I leave in August has been everything that God knew I needed.

See, I have been completely overwhelmed by the amount of support that I have been given in these past few months. There are many days that I spend in tears because I honestly don’t know how to react.

I have been absolutely blown out of the water by God! He has completely surpassed every fundraising goal that I had in my mind. I never spoke these aloud to anyone, but God knew that these specific prayers were on my heart.

This has caused me to feel quite a bit like the Grinch. I’m not talking about the Grinch where he is stealing everyone’s Christmas presents and decorations, but the Grinch at the end of the story. You know, when he discovers the true meaning of Christmas and his heart grew three sizes. That is exactly how I feel! My heart is swelling with the love I have for the Father and everyone that has helped me get to where I am!

I still have one last chunk to fundraise, but I know that God will bring the funds when the time is right. But just like Philippians 4:6, I won’t worry but will be prayerful, thankful, and grateful until that time comes.

To everyone that has helped, donated, prayed, or even liked my Facebook posts, I cannot put into words how much it means to me! This season of fundraising has given me a whole new meaning to the word trust because I have to rely on God to give me every penny, but He is using you to be part of this much larger story. I truly couldn’t do any of this without you all.

“And what happened, then? Well, in Whoville they say – that the Grinch’s small heart grew three sizes that day.” -Dr. Suess, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
