John 3:16
This is thought to be one of the most well known bible verse. I mean you see it everywhere. But it’s more than just a cliché verse everyone knows. But it is a true love story.
(Paraphrasing here)
For God so loved YOU that he gave his only son so that YOU could have eternal life. He gave his son to die to people who hated him, to people who would forever reject him to still promise them eternal life. He didn’t send Jesus here to condemn us and wag his finger at all of our faults. Jesus came to teach us, to save us, and to love us. We live in such a dark world but Jesus lived, died, and rose from the dead to leave the Holy Spirit within is to bring light to the world.
Now that, that is a true love. As a person who has been rejected my entire life, hearing this is so comforting. That no matter what person rejects me, I worship a God who believed in me and accepted me over 2,000 years ago. And he will never stop loving us.
