Swaziland is a beautiful county full of open land and breath taking mountains, but a lack of wifi. Slowly I will be posting blogs as soon as I get wifi from time to time. My first blog I wanted to share is one of my pieces from a writing workshop we do every Monday morning. This is a time where we worship the Lord through writing. I have not always been one to particularly love writing but the Race has definitely grown me. I now love writing for the Lord and I get to see how much He loves me in a completely new way. This piece is called “ Rachel Ann” and it is from the point of view of God. I prayed about what God says about me and this is what the Lord told me. God is so good to me and is constantly pouring down His love over me.
In her first moments
I held her in my hands
Then I spoke over her
Rachel Ann
I call her daughter and fighter
Because I know what she’s been through
Even through the pain and sorrow
She is a lighter for the fire for my Kingdom
Now, now this is a special one
For I’ve prepared a place just for her
Because before the foundation the earth was done
I thought of her
I knew the mistakes she would choose
And how one day she would think I had forsaken
But I had new
I never left, nor was I taken
Because I was waiting with open arms
To embrace my precious star
I desire to give her everything good
with a great banquet just as it should
I know this is hard for my sweet child to understand
Because of the pain and sorrow that got out of hand
But I’m here to send sweet whispers
Of the truth about Rachel Ann
