My time in Thailand has already been amazing. God is doing so much here. I am ready to start month four with a kingdom mindset and ready to love all people. There is something about this place that makes me love it so much. I’m not sure exactly what it is, the food, people, culture, or the opportunity for ministry, I just know that I am going to love it here.
Last night my team and I visited a market to find some food, which was amazing, and as we were eating a woman walked up to us. She was dressed head to toe in sparkles and huge feathers. She began to invite us to a club, where she would be entertaining at. I thought this would be a wonderful moment to show Jesus to her, so I asked simply “how are you doing tonight?” She was confused and answers, “how am I doing? Oh, I am dancing tonight.” Then I repeated, “No, I want to know how you are doing, like are you having a good night?” Still confused she said, “oh I am 25.” My heart broke as she walked away. Out of all the English she knew, she didn’t understand what it was like for someone to truly ask her if she was ok and if she needed anything from someone who saw more than her outward appearance. As she walked back to the club in 5 inch heels, I saw all sorts of men stare at her like she was an object and nothing more. I am praying that I see her again and that I keep getting the opportunity to show Jesus to her. She is so beautiful, not because of her make up or the bright colors she wears, but because she is a child of God.
I only get the opportunity to love on people like this because of people who have supported me along the way. I still need $2,700 to be fully funded. I really need help so I can stay on the field. I am so blessed to already have gotten this far. I am so close and I need your help to get me there. Even $10 would make such an impact. I am so lucky to have such amazing people who support!
