This week we had a squad meeting to reveal a new twist in our route. Our squad leaders announced that we will be going to Myanmar instead of Malaysia. Which totally came to a surprise to me. The reason behind the change is because the World Race likes to have Gap Year racers go to places where there will be more set ministry. In Malaysia they don’t have great ministry hosts and we would be just walking around the country for a month doing ATL (ask the Lord). So now we are going to Myanmar where there is great ministry hosts and we will have set ministry everyday. So now my route will be Guatemala for 3 months (where I am currently at), Thailand for 1 month, Myanmar for 1 month, back to Thailand for 1 month, then to Swaziland for 3 months! I was super confused at first but God has really set a new excitement for Myanmar on my heart!

Now some of you are wondering where Myanmar is (like me haha). After using google maps I have discovered that Myanmar is right next to Thailand! Another super interesting thing about Myanmar is that the country has only opened up it’s borders within the past 3 years, so the country is super untouched and just waiting for eager people like me to come and share the love of Jesus.

I am so excited to see what God is planning on doing in such a wonderful country like Myanmar. Like always God’s plan is always greater than ours, and I know in my heart it will be great!
