My blog for this week is about what I do on a day to day basis. I have pictures of all of the great places God has lead me to share His word. My ministry is in a small village called San Lorenzo.
Here is the house we have class every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Some local woman have given up their home for these days so we maybe able to have class. The kids are broken up by grade and we get to teach them English, Math, Reading, and Bible stories.
This is the field where we also have class. We are able to play games and have interactive learning. I took this picture from the top of a huge hill that my team and I walk up and down almost everyday. Trust me it is not easy and I better be super strong by the end of this.
These are my awesome ministry host that we partner with to minister with the kids and families in the village. They have poured into these people for so long and they are so filled with the Holy Spirit. I truly love being around these people and I can’t wait to spend 2 more months with them.
On Tuesday’s we get to do this super great thing called house visits. We have the opportunity to hear the stories from families from all over San Lorenzo and we get to pray for them and sometimes they give us treats like cake. This is just one example of the tons of homes we get to visit over our time here.
On Thursday mornings we go into the village early and do ATL, which means ask the Lord. We gather in a circle and pray that God would give us words or images of where He wants to lead us for that day. God lead us to this woman’s house where we got to hear her story and hold her baby! She has 10 children and we got to pray for blessings over her family.
On Friday’s we go to a school in a different town and help teach a Bible study. This is the classroom we teach in and grow closer with the kids. We play a game every Friday with them and sometimes bring treats.
Here is a fun picture of me with the kids in San Lorenzo, they are attacking me and I am struggling to tell them to play a game. I love my ministry and I can’t wait to see how God is going to show up over the next 2 months here.
