Month one is done!! This whole month has gone by so fast. We are here at debrief at the prettiest lake and little town. Right now I am at a coffee shop overlooking the calm water and lush green mountains. I can’t get over how this is my life.

Over this past month I have learned a lot about hope. I want to share what I have learned. In Romans 15:13 it says “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Our hope needs to be raised with Christ. I realized I can’t have dead faith or hope. I have to put action into it. I ask myself “am I willing to fight for the promises God has for me?” I have to find strength in his promises and faithfulness. The enemy gradually tries to steal our hope and we don’t even realize it. Disappointment, pain, betrayal, fear, anxiety, worry, and doubt dims our hope. But it’s what we do with these feelings that matter. We need to step out of hopelessness. We need to hear God’s comforting voice and not the enemy’s dimming our hope. Tell the enemy to go away. We need to believe our hope is secure and unchanging. Our hope needs to be put in God.
