This story isn’t really that interesting and doesn’t have many life altering things messages or themes. It’s simply simple. It was an average day. We had a normal day of ministry that quickly turned into night. For dinner each night our team either eats at home or goes to the night market, often we split up. This night will Blake and I happened to go to the night market with each other while the others stayed home. We walked there, which is about a 5 minute walk max, and ordered our food from the vendors and sat at a table. Will and I were sitting and eating, while Blake went to go get more food. Moments passed and a lady came up to us and asked if the seat opposite of will was taken and we said no and as she was about to sit I noticed something peculiar on her shoulder… a cockroach! I calmly told her not to panic at all and that there was a cockroach on her shoulder. Her face immediately went electric and her eyes said get this thing off me so I flicked it off her shoulder and she proceeded to be shocked and freak out and after she calmed down she sat with us and ate. We talked but we didn’t talk about anything very crazy. We got to know each other a bit and then we got up and left. We didn’t talk about anything serious or anything like that we just simply enjoyed each other’s presence and enjoyed life. God works that way. Little things or small he brings people in to our lives to enjoy each other’s presences and to show love through simple things. I want to encourage everyone to take joy out of the small, simple things in life.
