Wow, God, tonight you outdid yourself again.
I was so tired and depleted and full of ‘blah’ that this whole week was a struggle of “I don’t want to pray for this girl in the store” and “They don’t understand what I’m saying here” and “We are always in a hurry” and “It’s stupid cold outside and how long till I get home?” “I’ve been going non stop and need a brake!” But I said all these things to you. I gave them to you, I was real with you, and I said I was tired and just done And “I’M READY TO GO HOME!” Then you did this.
You invited us to some random stranger’s house. They served us a feast of food. Then taught us about all the things important to Armenia and the Christian history, lavished us with intentional questions that show they really wanted to know us and hear our story. We were all just tired and not really motivated because we just passed the halfway point and we were feeling like we weren’t doing much nor did we care to. Then, like a soft wind, You began to speak life into us and remind us of our purpose and why we were there. These weren’t just strangers from church we met on Sunday, and this wasn’t just dinner. It was an appointment you made from the beginning of time for me, for us. This body of believers, like angels, lavished us with your Love and encouragement!
One of our new friends said, “Remember, no matter the amount of time you are in a country, or if you have plans or not, or if you feel like you aren’t making an impact, know that wherever your feet walk the Holy Spirit shoots forth and His name is proclaimed. Atmospheres shift when you pray for the land you walk on. So just pray for the nation and let Him change things. Partner with the Holy Spirit in interceding for the nation.” As if that wasn’t encouraging enough, God, you showered us with individual prophecy that left us all sobbing in overwhelming love. You clothed us in garments of royalty and elevated us to new heights!
Wow, God, you don’t cease to amaze me and I felt so seen and heard by you. You ripped my chest open, pulled out my heart, blew new life into it and put it back better than I could have even imagined. You truly are the lover of my soul and just when I’m running out of gas, You pick up the pace and say, “Come on I’ve got this, let’s go!” And I, with my chin now lifted up, nod and say “Yeah, I’ll just follow you wherever you say.” So yeah. Thank you for yoking up to me, poppa bear. This is a partnership I can’t live without. Thanks for sending angels to encourage me when I most needed it and didn’t even know it! Thanks for the support and prayers of friends and family back home and more special to my heart now, the LOVE found in the body of believers around the world. They made my heart beat so hard today!! I love you Abba daddy!! You make my heart melt. You know EVERY DETAIL ABOUT ME.
Putting the cherry on the cake, my favorite part about the whole thing was that it started and ended with the piano. All of this happened in the midst of worship! Also, the people we meet were so down to earth and chill! Wow wow wow! Thank you Lord for allowing me to take a brake! For not letting me listen to the guilty lie of “We arent doing anything for the kingdom this month!” Thank you that you see and know our hearts and never judge us but hug us and encourage us as we sit on your lap and rest. You are Awsome and I love you!
