I honestly don’t know where to begin with this topic. I don’t think that I have fully realized all the things that God has used to impact me yet.

However, I will try to give you some highlights:

Swaziland:

  • God taught me that I can NOT serve Him and His children out of my own love; my love is so insufficient!
  • He revealed to me how beautiful it is to rest with Him and the importance of taking a Sabbath.
  • Finding the beauty in the little things. Little smiles, laughter, and the sun shining perfectly over the mountains are such a beautiful depiction of the Lord’s perfection in creation.
  • I saw strong and selfless women take in the abandoned children of their community because it needed to be done. Helping was not a question, even if it meant they barely ate, slept and their house was full.

Nepal:

  • God showed me the spiritual heaviness and entrapment that comes from serving and worshipping idols.
  • In this heavy and lost culture, I saw a boldness of faith and urgency to share the Gospel like never before!
  • I learned firsthand that everyone is searching for something bigger than themselves, to give themselves purpose and to answer their questions. If they don’t find God, they’ll run to something else.

India:

  • The power of sharing the gospel! A tribe was transformed from being head-hunters to soul-savers by one man sharing and now they are 100% evangelized and the government can’t touch them.
  • God is always faithful, there is no fear to step out in faith and boldness.
  • I saw the beauty of hospitality and always having an open door and open ear. I am always at home when I am with brothers and sisters of Christ.
  • I am free! There is nothing that can strip me of this fact. I can be a fool for Christ’s sake.

Guatemala:

  • I am not the savior; I can not fix everyone or every situation. I must rely on the Lord and trust in His perfect timing.
  • My call is to share the Good News, but I can not force people to believe it.
  • There is no harm in sharing the Gospel and being rejected, they are rejecting God far more than they are rejecting me.
  • I saw the pain and sadness of the Father for those who don’t know Him.
  • I realized that people believe in crazy things that fulfill their desire to live for themselves.
  • There is so much beauty in being unified in Christ, even with a language barrier.
