I have recently come into a little more free time and so I think that it is only appropriate to use it to finally update everyone on what the past five months have looked like for me. Before COVID, my team was moving around every 10 to 14 days. World Race America’s aim is revival of the church and reaching the lost. Our team has been partnering alongside churches, individuals, organizations, and alumni and their families to meet these goals.
Something that our leadership values is transparency and efficiency. Because of those values, our team has been asked to keep what we call ‘fruit surveys’. Basically we keep track of how many people we are interacting with and what we are doing with them. Not in a way to point to how good or great we are, but just to show that we are being effective and making the most of the time given to us. These surveys don’t always represent all of the work that we are doing, only the outreach, but none the less, it is cool to see how many people we have been able to come in contact with other the past few months and I wanted to share it with y’all!
So here is a brief walk through of the last 5 months of my life…
GEORGIA
While my team was in Georgia we lived in Roswell but moved around a lot for ministry and were able to serve in Ellijay, Marietta, and Atlanta. Some of the ministry that we did included things like property clean up, evangelism, homeless outreach, blessing bag distributions, donation organization, strip club ministry, and intercession.

ALABAMA
While in Alabama, my team lived in Phenix City, which is right over the boarder from Columbus, Ga. During our stay here we worked both in Columbus and in Phenix City. Our ministry here looked like women’s ministry, speaking at a youth group, helping our host with manual labor projects, preaching, intercession, and fellowshipping with the body!

TENNESSEE
Our team was in Tennessee for a while! We stayed in Memphis, and Knoxville but also was able to visit Nashville for the day. During our time there we were able to take part in evangelism outreach, intentional discipleship, World Race Alumni outreach, blessing bag outreach, and manual labor projects.

NORTH CAROLINA
Our team got to hang out in Asheville, NC for a little over a week and during that time we were able to help out with some manual labor projects, community events, and donation sorting. We weren’t able to do much outreach during this time, but we were able to spend lots of time with the community of believers that we were living with.

DELAWARE
During our time in Delaware we lived in Lewes, but travelled all around the lower half of the state. During this time we got to partner with so many AMAZING ministries. We served with multiple homeless ministries, partnered with Compassion International, were able to host a women’s event and were able to spend intentional time with our host and people in the community!

PENNSYLVANIA
Oh, Pennsylvania. This is where My team was when COVID hit. We ended up spending two months in Philadelphia serving at the Rock ministries, then one additional week in Duncannon, PA. At the Rock we had a small amount of time were we were able to participate in their normal ministry before everything was shut down for quarantine. This was an incredibly fruitful time for our team, both before and after COVID hit. When we couldn’t go out, we stayed in and prayed and sent encouraging notes, and hosted intercession and prayer. We also were able to help with lots of park clean-ups, food distributions, and property upkeep.

OHIO
Our team arrived in Ohio this past Sunday night and are just getting settled into things here. Right now we are living in North Lawrence, a really small town near Akron, and in a few weeks we will head to an even smaller town near Columbus.
Fruit coming soon…
My point in sharing all of these stats with you is to show that we interact and reach many more people during our daily lives than we think we do. These stats don’t reflect the amount of people that our team has talked to or just prayed for. As Christians, even in quarantine, our reach goes so far beyond what we can count or measure. Something that our team has started to do is just ask everyone we encounter if they need prayer for anything- then we pray right there in the moment for them. Sometimes that leads to more in-depth spiritual conversations, sometimes it doesn’t. But I know that this year the Lord has been opening my eyes to all of the opportunities that I have to speak into the lives of the people around me and it’s been amazing to see all that the Lord has done in that. Some people seem to think that evangelism and missions is harder in America, but in reality the harvest is SO ripe here.
I would also love to hear any cool God stories that y’all have about a time when you have shared the gospel or prayed for someone that you’ve met! The word says that our testimonies are powerful and I believe that when we share we spur one another on to step out too. I want to encourage you if you don’t have any stories that come to mind to get out of your comfort zone this week in some way that advances the gospel. Whether thats asking the cashier at the grocery store if they need prayer, or leaving encouraging notes on some of your neighbors doors. We all have ministry right in front of us, COVID doesn’t change that. It might seen scary at first but the Lord will be with you!
I’m thankful for all of the support and encouragement that y’all have shown me. I know I have reaped the benefits of many of you stepping out in faith and believing in the journey that the Lord is taking me on. I wouldn’t be here without all of your prayers and support. With all that being said, I currently have just around $2,300 left to raise before I am fully funded! My deadline is coming up at the end of this month, so I would appreciate prayers that the Lord continues to favor me and that the funds come in on time, not only for me but also for my teammates. If you feel led to donate you can do so on this blog by clicking the donate button at the top of this page.
Much Love!
