 “If it’s God’s will, it’s God’s bill.”

That has been my montra for the last year and guess what… He really did it.

I am officially FULLY FUNDED!!!

From the bottom of my heart I cannot thank y’all enough for standing with me in the gap between where I was a year ago, and where God wanted me to be today. I have seen such a movement of love and generosity in God’s people and I have never felt more loved and supported by my community as I have in the last year. I have grown so much through this time and I cannot thank y’all enough for believing in God’s plan for my life. God has used y’all to confirm His will for me and to bring peace to my heart in the face of a whole bunch of life change. Each and every one of you is a part of this journey with me, regardless of whether or not you have supported me finically. I have felt your prayers and thoughts. Many of you have spoken life to me and over me, as well as took the time to encourage me in the moments when I needed reassurance. I have seen the body of Christ move through you in new, incredible ways.

My whole thought process going into this time of fundraising was that if this was what God was calling me towards, I wasn’t going to force it or fight it, I was just going to let it happen… or not happen. I never felt the urgency to get started, or an overwhelming fear that I wasn’t going to come up with the money. God, from the very beginning, gave me a confidence in the fact that this was his plan for me for this season of my life, and no obstacle was going to get in the way of that.

My fundraising story has been so different from many other people that I know. I never had to beg, or bug, or fight to get people to donate. Y’all crazies just came right on out of the woodwork waving your pocketbooks at me offering me money (y’all really are the best). Over the course of my year long fundraising endeavor I only actually did 2 fundraisers. Meaning that most of my funds, around $17,100, was raised solely through talking with people and sharing my journey with them!! You all have made my journey your own and thats pretty stinking amazing.

This was never something that I did on my own strength. I can 100% say that the Lord, in all His goodness, provided this money for me through the body of believers. I don’t say this in a humble brag-y way, because honestly, I was pretty lazy about the whole thing. I had people that donated that I don’t even personally know. They heard about me from a friend of a friend (or something like that) and they felt God calling them to give and they did. That has nothing to do with me and everything to do with how AMAZING our God is. He provided way beyond what I could do myself.

He does immeasurable more that we could ever ask or imagine. And even though in my heart I always (mostly always- I’m only human) knew that I would be fully funded by the time I launched in August, it has still been a wonderful and crazy experience to see God actually show up and do it. He has surprised me time and time again in ways the only He can do. I know that if He is moving mountains now, in preparation for this mission, then He really does have some big earth-shattering thing planned for this next year.

Thank you all for the role that you have played in being the hands and feet of Jesus to me in my life. There aren’t enough words in the world to express my gratitude and there isn’t anything that I could do or have done that makes me deserving of this. All I can do is say thank you and recognize that God pours out His love and grace on us despite our shortcomings, because He loves us and He is a good father to His children.

Thank you for your generosity and your faithfulness. I pray that within each of your lives you continue to allow the Lord to work in you, and through you, and that you continue to root your lives in His love, which never ends and that you set your treasure in Heaven and on Heavenly things.

If you feel lead, several of my squad-mates are still funding. I know that it’s not fair of me to ask people who have already supported me so much to continue to support others, but I believe that I was not a final destination on some of your World Race journeys and that the Lord’s generosity is still at work. Some of you are going to be able to connect and relate to my squad-mates in unique and beautiful ways that I cannot. I would urge you not to stop with me. God is going to be writing so many beautiful stories on the lives everyone on my squad, and someone else might be writing the story that you need to hear, or the story that God wants you to encounter. Be bold and follow that still small voice of God in you where He is leading with a yes in your spirit.
