Today (Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018) was phenomenal and I feel fantastic. Today I woke up with a BIG YES! Not saying that I haven’t been saying yes every day before I go to ministry, but I it was a deep YES today and I will elaborate.
So today I woke up saying yes literally. The first thing in my mind when I woke up today was Yes! Then I was like “Ahhh yes, today is going to be a great day”. It was super cool waking up like that because our leaders has been asking us to wake up with a yes in our hearts. The meaning of having a yes in your heart is to say Yes to Jesus every day and to be open to whatever it is that he wants us to do. We later walked to ministry called the Abraham Project. At ministry we scrubbed rocks cleaning them to make the garden look even more beautiful than it already is. A couple of the guys and I were sitting at the fountain cleaning the rocks and talking about fasting from things that brings them away from Jesus. I told them that I wanted to fast from rap music. And they all thought that was great that I wanted to do so. And they are holding me accountable to it. When I was telling them that I wanted to fast rap music made me feel so great that I finally got that off of my chest. Before the World Race training camp I decided to listen to only Christian music and after Training camp I was really only listening to Christian music. I truly believe that what you put in is what comes out. When I decided to only listen to Christian music it really impacted me in my relationship with the Lord. I learned to rely on God in everything that I did. That is the power of music. And about like two weeks before I left on the Race I made the decision to listen to rap music again. I was really excited to go on the Race but I wasn’t as pumped as I was right after training camp, and my relationship with God was still great but I wasn’t relying on him as much. So when I told the boys that I wanted to fast rap music I immediately felt super pumped again and I am completely relying on God again. The rest of the day was just phenomenal. We had lunch and instead of just sitting for the rest of our lunch I decided to go and play soccer with the kids at Abraham Project. They loved it and I had a lot of fun. The rest of the day I was like super happy, like even more happy than usually am. It was all because I am choosing to say YES and rely on Jesus Everyday of my life. Later that day I felt no longer home sick. I am on the World Race baby, living in Costa Rica.
