As most of you know I am at the World Race Launch!!!
The road from training camp to Launch is actually pretty phenomenal! God has been working in my life in so many way! Before training camp my fundraising was at $3,500 (July 10th). After training camp I came home on fire for the Lord. When I got back from Training Camp there was 7 weeks till launch and I had to fundraise $6,500! That’s a big number for such a small time frame. Sounds scary right! But Gods is bigger, you all knew that. I went to volunteer at Camp Fort Worth for a week. Now we are at 6 weeks to earn $6,500. Even scarier!! But it gets better. I then started to worry about how am I going to earn all this money in such a short amount of time! I continued to work and pray day and night. I tried making the most money that I could. I was working at Home Depot and it would leave me with no time to fundraise but withing out my job at Home Depot of would have no steady source of income. I felt God moving inside me on one of my lunch breaks telling me that I don’t have to work and that he would provide. I told myself “I don’t know God, then I will be left with no pay check.” I went back to work that day and finished the rest of the day. It was my last day at The Home Depot. I decided to listen to God and devoted all of my time to fundraising.I started to do fundraisers every week whether it was just going to the taco truck and selling bracelets and elotes, or doing enchilada dinner plates, chicken spaghetti plates, mole plates, garage sells, flea markets, bake sales, raffle tickets, and Adopt-a-Box! And with the help of 2 different people who donated $1,000 each. I reached $10,000.
With God on my side and with all of your prayers and support I am currently at $11,044. God is Good!!
I have made to ATL on Saturday! I have gotten to meet up with my amazing squad! And I have never seen a group of people so Hungry for the Lord!! I am telling you these past fews days at the World Race launch have been so good. The staff is helping us prepare for the Race and have been doing a great job. Teaching us to Forgive, Give feed back, Pray, Make sacrifices, and most importantly how to spread the Kingdom of God!
We are off to the World Race as we speak! We are leaving the hotel Thursday morning 2a.m.! Please keep us in your prayers! We are off to Costa Rica as we speak!
