Hello everyone!
Since I am unsure how one is supposed to start a blog, I guess I’ll just start at the beginning by telling you what made me decide to go on the World Race Gap Year. I grew up in a Christian home with parents and brothers who have strong relationships with the Lord. Growing up in church and in my family, mission trips were something that I had always heard about but never had the chance to experience myself. As I got older I watched my older brothers and my parents go on mission trips to spread the gospel and the love of Christ. When I was around 12 years old I felt the call to go into missions and began to try to go on every mission trip I heard about. However, for one reason or another I was always unable to go. That is until last summer when I received the opportunity to go with my youth group to El Salvador. I had a general idea of what to expect but I was completely unprepared for the movement of God in El Salvador, and in my life. While I was in El Salvador, I was able to help do Vacation Bible School in schools and on the street, as I worked with the kids I felt God pull on my heart and I knew that going on the Race was something that I had to do. “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20. May God bless and keep you.
Sincerely,
Molly McCrary
