Y’all, it’s been an incredible 11 days here in Bali! What a cool place! It’s been really neat experiencing a brand new culture for the first time. Here are some fast facts about the nation of Indonesia:
- Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world with over 13,000 islands.
- With a population of over 260 million, Indonesia is the world’s 4th most populated country.
- Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim-majority country with 227 million adherents to the religion.
- Indonesia is home to the most expensive cup of coffee in the world: Kopi Luwak. To be blunt: these monkey-type animals swallow coffee beans whole, digest them, and then poop them out. The beans are then harvested from the poo, and they whip up some coffee. I‘m not a huge fan of coffee, but I tasted some Kopi Luwak, and it was actually pretty good. I dare you to try it sometime.
My team and I hit the ground running when we arrived in Bali. My teammate Tyler made an awesome video that sums up our experience so far. Check it out!
My heart is so full.
We are headed to the island of Java in a few days, and things are likely going to be very different than here in Bali. I do ask in particular that you pray against Spiritual warfare, in Jesus’ name. I also ask that you pray for the physical health of me and my teammates. We’re holding up okay, but we aren’t all operating at 100% at the moment.
Thank you so much for all of the love, prayers, and support!
