Dear Friends and Family,
I have a mission that God has put on my heart since July of 2018. He revealed to me that his plan was much larger than my own and that I should pursue missionary work instead of going to college immediately after high school. God gave me that opportunity this year by allowing me to be accepted into the World Race Gap Year. The World Race Gap Year is a Christian missionary trip through Adventures in Missions that focuses on sending out missionaries to the world to help spread the word of Christ. Adventures in Missions was created in 1989, since the opening of their organization they have sent out 10,000 missionaries to the field to transform the world we live in.
During this trip I will be going to four different countries over a nine month period. I will be in Costa Rica for three months, South Africa for three months, Thailand for a month and a half, and Myanmar for a month and a half. When I am in these countries I will be doing Vacation Bible School, teaching children English, visiting families who need help, medical help, sharing love to children, ministering to sex trafficking victims and more, but the main focus of the trip will be sharing Jesus’s word to everyone my team and I encounter.
This trip comes with expenses both financially and spiritually. While I am on this trip I will be constantly pouring my heart out to all those I encounter, but it will not always be easy. While spreading the Gospel I will see the pain these people go through everyday because of their situations. Seeing these things will be difficult and I would greatly appreciate it if you could pray for my teammates, me, and the people we meet.
Secondly, I need to raise 15,800 dollars for this trip and cannot do that without your help.That money will go towards everything I need while I am out on the field including transportation, food, and housing. The amount this trip is, is not possible without the support of people like you. If you were to donate 25 dollars a month for six months, and 99 other people did as well I would be only 800 dollars short of my goal. Any amount you can give is greatly appreciated, and will be used to transform the lives of others all across the world. With your help we can grow the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
There are three ways to give financially, the first way is to send a check to Adventures in Missions. This check would be a one time donation of however much money you sign it for. You can make the check out to Adventures in Missions, write my name in the memo line, fill out the inserted card that comes with this and send the check to PO Box 742570 Atlanta, GA 30374-2570.
The second way to give is to give me cash or a check made out to McKenna Flood in person. This money would then be placed in my World Race account and go towards necessities for the trip.
The third way to give is through my blog. There are two donate buttons on my blog, one at the top of my blog and another on the left hand side. To donate you would click the donate button and type in the amount you want to give and click either the one time donation or the monthly donation which you can end whenever you would like. Then you can put in your credit card information and the money given will directly go towards my trip. My blog is Mckennaflood.theworldrace.org.
