Happy Gratituesday, everybody!!
This has been an incredible week. Our squad was able to celebrate Thanksgiving with two other squads who were also in Central America right now. We spent about three days in a comfy hotel in the cool mountains, hearing from some extraordinary folks about how to live life more like God wants us to. Honestly, it was a really hard week, too. The Awakening (what AIM calls a gathering of squads) provided space for us to dig deep, and ‘open the boxes in our basement’. There’s some nasty ish in there, let me tell you. But that will all be told in another blog to come. 🙂
Today is not only Gratituesday, but Giving Tuesday!! This is a beautiful event that occurs within a week of Thanksgiving that allows us to put our money where our mouth is (literally). If we have an entire holiday dedicated to gratitude, should we not also have a holiday dedicated to generosity? On the left hand side of my blog, you’ll find links to my teamies’ blogs – two of whom have yet to be fully funded! Sandy and Emma still have at least $3,000 to raise, and I would be so grateful to have them stay on the field with me.
Love y’all, and cannot wait to hear about what you’ve been grateful for this week! I’ve been super grateful for the people in my life that I’ve been able to celebrate with, and music – specifically worship. Wow, the Lord moved so much in my praises this week. Who do you get to celebrate with (because we do GET to celebrate, not HAVE to)? Or, have you had any profound musical moments this week? I would love to read about them in the comments, on Facebook, or in an email!
