Look at your hands. Do you know the power that they hold? Think about it. They can hold a hand, they can resuscitate a heart, they can heal, provide comfort, build a home, paint a picture, hold a child, hold things together, capture moments, feed you, let you touch, your hands can be your eyes. Have you ever thought about that?

Have you ever thought about how precious your hands are?

Look at the detail in your hands. Hold them out in front of you. Look at the callouses, the wrinkles, the lines, your freckles, your fingerprints, your scars. What do you see when you look at your hands? What do you feel?

When I look at my hands I see curiosity. I see the dirt in the crevices from touching literally everything. I see the sweat from being nervous teaching in front of kids who don’t know any English. I see my fingers shaking from praying over families, women, and children. I can feel the Holy Spirit seeping out of my hands when I pray. I can feel the dirt in between my fingers and in my nails. I can feel the kids hands in mine. I can feel women’s backs’ trembling as they cry when we pray over them. When I look at my hands I see the power they possess.

Now look at your hands again and think about it. Look at the detail. What do you see? What do you feel? Do you know how much power your hands hold?

Thanks for reading.
