Hi friends and family!

I’ve been meaning to write a blog for a looong time, but I’ve felt like I have nothing to say!  Nothing amazing has happened, and I haven’t had any huge realizations about life or the Race.  But I wanted to blog to stay in touch with you, so I thought I’d just share a couple updates!

1.  As of this moment, I am 78% funded!!!  Praise the Lord, He is so good!!  This means I can officially launch on the Race!  And speaking of launch…

2.  I leave four months from today.  WHAT.  That’s so crazy.  I feel so ready and so not at the same time.  I don’t even know how to prepare myself.

3.  But I have my gear.  My backpack, which doesn’t hold nearly as much as it should.  My tent.  My sleeping pad and bag.  It’s getting real.

4.  I’m almost graduated!!  Then it’s off to training camp for the Race in July!

Thank you SO much to everyone who has donated toward this exciting next journey!!  However, I still have $3,450 to raise, so I have a new fundraiser!

ADOPT-A-DAY!

Each day of my Race costs approximately $50, so the idea of this fundraiser is that you can “buy” a day between early September and early June, like maybe your birthday or a holiday.  On that day (or as soon as I have wifi), I will contact you and describe what my team did that day and how your donation made a difference (with pictures)!

Comment below or contact me ([email protected]) if you would like to participate in Adopt-a-day!  I’m excited about this idea, and love that it will keep me in touch with my friends and family while I’m away!

For now, I’m all out of updates.  But as always, I would love to talk with you if you have any questions about the World Race!

Blessings on blessings,

Liz
