ANNA

Fun fact: I prayed I would be on a team with this girl. We hadn’t talked too much before training camp but our short conversations confirmed her character and I without a doubt knew we would click. I guess the Lord agreed, because here are, one month into the Race and she is such a gift to me and everyone! She is known for being the “mom” of the group because of her nurturing and loving spirit. She is constantly laughing and befriending everyone in her path. She is ready to pray over anyone and always brings her conversations back to Jesus. She is such a light and blessing to our team!

TIARA

Before training camp I didn’t even know tiara was on our squad. Now I couldn’t imagine it without her! She is such a beautiful person with an adventurous spirit. Every time you talk with her, you uncover more and more of her wisdom. It is always refreshing to dive into scripture with her and dig deep into conversations. She has the biggest heart for the kids at our care point and exhausts herself to love on them by running around and allowing them to jump all over her. Watching her laugh-cry is always a joy and the way she loves the Lord is always evident!

EMILI

Emili is one the kindest and most humble people I’ve met. She always puts you first and does whatever is asked without complaining or wanting the attention. She walks in humility and shows our whole team what gentleness looks like. Emili brings a needed laughter to the team and does everything with a good attitude. She loves us well and has such a willingness to grow in the Lord. We had a chance to celebrate Emili’s birthday last week which was so perfect, she deserved a day to treat herself!

PEYTON

Okay. This girl is funnnny. Although Peyton hasn’t slept the best, and hasn’t even felt the best she is always putting her all in. If that means playing soccer with the locals, being attentive with us, or just being her humorous self, she is always fully present, giving as much of herself as she can—and always killing the boys at soccer. She has a surrendering heart and it is so evident she is growing in the Lord! She is patient with our team and is always willing to go with the flow. Our team quote is “Where’s Peyton?” and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

MYKAYLA

Mykayla is one of the logistics people on our entire squad which means she has a lot of responsibility along with two others leads our squad. Let me tell you, she does this so well. She loves everyone and is always on top of everything. Within our team she is the one that keeps things REAL. And we need that. She is such a great friend for accountability and knows how to love us well in doing that. She has a giving heart (as she always lets me steal her moisturizer, tweezers, mascara and etc.). She is willing to step for any task in ministry or outside of it.

LIZ

My Ohio girl!!!! Yes, we are the only two people on our squad form Ohio AND we were placed on the same team! What a blessing that is! Liz has such a kind spirit and others are always wanting to talk with her, sit with her, read with her, or simply be with her. She has a yes in her spirit for anything the Lord has and she is ready to change the world for Jesus! She is humble about her gifts and talents—yet she has many. One day I slept in and forgot to make my teams sandwiches for the day and she saw that need and filled it. Liz didn’t even wake me up. (Don’t worry I did it the next day). She acted like it was no sweat but it meant something to me, certainly!

I love my team and feel blessed beyond words. They love me back well and I can’t wait for these girls to be like sisters. We are already on our way!
