…written by my teammate Amanda!!
Dear Lauren’s supporters and fan club,
First, I want to thank you for helping her get to where she is right now. Without your help, she wouldn’t be sharing the love of Jesus to the nations with us Gospel Girls by her side.
I have had the absolute pleasure of being on her team now for 4 months and let me tell ya (although you all probably already know this) she is a ROCK STAR! I have seen her pour out her heart with some kiddos, share her testimony with strangers, do some hard manual labor, get up on stage and speak Afrikaans, do the monkey with 110% effort, use her PT degree to serve and bless others, be intentional with her time with the Lord, and lead us Gospel Girls with a pure heart. I have witnessed her step out in boldness, seek the Lord when we need direction, and check in on us as her teammates. She loves us so well!
Her and I have also shared many hours together since our medical backgrounds are needed on occasion (I’m a Registered Nurse). We worked together in the medical outreach program in Haiti, cleaning out a medical depot that at the time seemed as though our impact was minimal, helped care for disabled children in South Africa, and are currently doing medical evaluations on the orphans here at Love Botswana’s Lorato House. She cares for others so tenderly and thoroughly and although the resources may not be there, she’s quick to think of alternatives in most cases. Her heart is behind EVERYTHING that she does and it’s so evident in the way she interacts with others.
I know I’ve only known her for a little over 4 months now, but when you spend almost every minute of every day with one another, we start to rub off on each other. She has impacted me so much! She inspires me to know Scripture more, pushes me to think before I speak, challenges me to be more vulnerable, and continuously calls me higher. She gives great feedback and handles the load of being the Team Leader exceptionally well. I have loved getting to know her on a deeper level and again, I’m super grateful for you guys as her supporters. Thanks for pouring into her over the years and helping her grow into the woman she is today!
This Race is hard, so please keep reaching out to her with words of encouragement and love. She needs you just as much as she needs her team!
Much love,
Amanda #teamGG
