Hi, Friends & Family,
Sorry for the silence last month. December… Oh December rocked me. I didn’t know if I was coming or going. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of the holidays I’m in a season of transition and I was in survival mode to make it through the home stretch of 2017.
But here we are.. 2018. WORLD RACE YEAR!!! It is literally 9 months until we launch on this journey. My heart wants to say so much but my fingers are struggling to adequately type it all out.
The anticipation, gah, it’s overwhelming to think how different life will look come this time next year. It’s all so exciting and I’m just buckling up and gonna enjoy the ride. New years, I’ve always loved it. Out with the old, in with the new. A clean slate to be better and do better. But for the first time in a long time I was sad to see a year end. 2017 was super good to me. But I have a feeling 2018 is gonna be right up there.
So this day, this very minute as my fingers type begins the preparation for October 5th, 2018. The day my feet, hands, heart, mind and soul start an incredible journey across 11 countries. 2017 is profound in that I actually committed to this journey but this year I AM ACTUALLY DOING IT, HOLY COW.
This where you come in. There is a lofty goal to meet in order to get me there and I can’t do it without YOU. If you’re reading this, yes I mean you. In order to reach my goal to be fully funded by launch, I’m really praying that God would stir the hearts of friends and family to come on board as monthly partners. Fundraising y’all, it’s not for the faint of heart but it’s such a necessary and pivotal part of the journey. So would you prayerfully consider?? I would be forever grateful and you will be much rewarded by seeing just where your gift would be going as you follow along side me on the journey. You will be just as much a part of it as myself, though not physically there.
Also, have first fundraising opportunity for you. It’s a unique and fun way to also incorporate friends and family into the journey. Would you consider adopting one of the 11 countries I will be visiting? You would commit to praying that month for that specific country I’m in. Read previous post for list of countries. In addition, I will send you a jar with that specific country name and prayer needs for that country and you fill it with loose change over the course of the next months leading up to trip and before I leave you will send it back to me and it will go towards my goal. Easy and tangible way to also get involved. Multiple people can adopt a country, which ever country your heart feels led. Ideally I would like to find a person for all 11.
