LONG: But PLEASE read! Exciting stuff.
I do not even know where to begin with this. As soon as I push post and put this out there, it becomes all the more real. Which is exciting and nerve-wrecking at the same time. Back in June a seed was planted and now has very much taken fruition. It started with a friend telling me about a little (HUGE) thing called “The World Race” through an organization called Adventures in Mission. Spending a year going to 11 different countries in 11 months doing mission work. My first thought, “Hmmmm, something to look into.” Second thought, “Maybe I should talk to somebody.” Third thought, “Maybe I should apply.” Fourth thought, “AM I CRAZY???” LOL… you get the picture. I did all of the above and well after an interview process I GOT ACCEPTED. HOLY COW!!!!! My spot has been solidified and I found out this week the countries I will be going to. I can’t even believe I am typing this. So in October 2018 I will be launching out with a team and will be embarking on a year long journey finding myself traveling the world and immersing myself in loving people, furthering his kingdom, and sharing his love. I get to combine my love for Jesus and my love for travel and I honestly can’t think of a better way to spend a year; truly humbled. So the months leading up to this will be full of heart preparation, emotional and mental preparation to have my mind blown on the most life-changing year I will probably EVER experience and will most likely wreck my world (in the best possible way.) With that said, World Race has set up this blog for me so you can keep up with the journey leading up to my departure and also while I’m out on the field. You can subscribe for updates. Most of all, I covet your prayers throughout this whole process and EVERY detail. Also, please stay tuned for ways you can contribute to my journey and my getting there. I’m most excited to see God’s provision each and every step of the way, which I have no doubt he will do. So many logistics have to happen to make this possible for me but our God is a huge God who can do the impossible, even down to the little details. If you have any questions as to where all I will be going, what we will be doing, more about organization, how you can be a part of this, etc…please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. Thank you and I love each and every single one of you. So excited for the journey that awaits! More to come… 🙂
