Hello everyone and greetings from Panama! My team and I made it safely to our ministry site here in Chiriqui, Panama about two weeks ago, and I can’t wait to share with you what the Lord is doing in my heart so far this month! However, instead of just writing what my week consists of, a teammate challenged me to write out all the things that I am grateful for this month. I also wanted to challenge everyone reading this blog to share in the comments the things that you are thankful for this week!

This week I am grateful for…

* Hot showers everyday

* Everyday beings served 3 delicious meals and being able to help prepare them

* a comfortable bed so that I don’t have to set up my sleeping pad every

* AIR CONDITIONING!

* It rains everyday here so I get to fall asleep to thunderstorms every night

* Our Ministry site has a ping-pong table, so we have tournaments everyday

* Hot coffee around the clock

* Loving on so many kiddos

* learning Spanish from the kids living here at the YWAM base

* Growing closer with the ladies on my teamand making lasting friendships

 * The gorgeous views of waterfalls, mountains, and volcanos

 * Being able to have wifi so I can call my family every week

* Being able to try two new fruit that I have always wanted to try; passionfruit and rambutan!

       Those are just a few things that the Lord has blessed me with so far this month, and I know that list is only going to continue to grow! The past couple of weeks have been filled with a lot of high moments along with some low ones as well. However being able to take time out of my day to list all the great things that I have to be thankful for really helped me to put things into perspective. Even in times where we feel like we have nothing going for us, there is always something to be grateful for.

I challenge all of you reading this blog to write in the comments some of the things that you are thankful for this week. That way you can be encouraged reading someone else’s list, and your list can encourage someone else as well.
