In my 25 years of life I have held many roles, but my favorite by far is being a sister. And not just being a sister but having sisters. There’s just something about that relationship that is so special but I can’t explain. They know everything about you and have no fear in calling you out, but will also confidently have your back all at the same time. There’s an energy between sisters you can’t get from anyone else.

If you don’t know, I have two younger sisters, Landry- 23 and Ryann- 17. This is the first time in my life I have been away from them for this long of a consecutive period. At times it’s hard to grasp. It’s only been a little over 2 months and I’m expected to not be with them for another 9 months?? What??

So I want to give a little shoutout blog to my sisters because without them I wouldn’t be where I am today. Although I am the oldest sister they have taught me so much and inspire me everyday!

Landry has taught me courage. When faced with a hard situation I’ve seen her exude complete trust in the Lord and willingness to continue forward no matter what may come. And she loves with her whole heart. She loves her husband and son so well. I have seen so much selflessness in her because of the way she takes care of her family. And if you want someone who will work hard, this is your girl! She hasn’t let anything stop her and steps up to the challenge whatever it may be. Most people think she is older than me since she is married and has a baby and honestly many days I do to! But she was born to be a mother. The way she cares so well, the Lord knew exactly what he was doing bringing Cash (my nephew) into her life.

Ryann has taught me strength. I have watched this girl walk through hurt and hard times but she doesn’t let it define her. She brings so much joy wherever she goes. Although, very stubborn at times I can see so much drive in her. She is a junior in high school and I already see so many great things in her future because of her intentionality. She’s a difference maker for sure and people will follow her. She’s brought so much joy into my life and has this radiance about her that draws people in. She has a competitive nature just like me and i love it! We manage to make everything a competition but Landry on the other hand would rather play with each other’s hair and let everyone be a winner, but what kinda world is that??

The best part about having sisters is I can ask for their advice about ANYTHING and they will give me an honest opinion. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve texted them a picture of me in a fitting room asking if I should get the outfit (I don’t trust my own opinion on fashion, this is more in their forte). If you don’t have sisters who can do that for you I 10/10 recommend!

Before this year, the last time I lived at home I was 18, Landry was 16 and Ryann was 10. We loved each other but it was hard to relate. We fought, mostly about taking each other’s clothes or things- I mean what else are sisters for?

I never thought I would live at home again after college but after last year and knowing I was getting ready to be gone a year I knew I didn’t want to live hours away from my family anymore. And that was the BEST move I could have made! I had so many great, intentional moments with both sisters and too many laughs to count!

When you get all three of us together weird things happen…My last night of being home is probably one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE memories with them. I needed to go to hobby lobby for something and to get as much time with me before I left both Landry and Ry came with me.

We started walking the isles and got to the Christmas trees and that’s when it hit us, “We should celebrate all the holidays before I leave!” Shoutout to Hobby Lobby for having all holidays out at once! what better way to celebrate the holidays than dance!? Before I knew it Landry and Ryann were dancing spastically throughout the store. So of course I whip out my phone to video. We start in the trees and realize, “we have to go to the Halloween isle!” “And thanksgiving!” “And Fourth of July!”

The amount of times we doubled over laughing so hard was too many to count! They continued to dance even with all the funny looks we got and I’m so thankful they did! Because this gave me such a great memory to hold onto while I’m gone that still makes me laugh to this day! I posted these videos and if you haven’t see them, you can find them on my instagram highlight story! It will give you a little taste of what it’s like to live life with Landry and Ryann.

23 and 17 years ago when y’all came into my world, I was excited to help with y’all and be a “big” sister. BUT little did I know y’all would impact MY life so much! Landry and Ryann, I love y’all and miss you both with my whole heart!
