Don’t you love long weekends spent with the people you love in one of your favorite places while eating all the amazing foods?? And if you said no, well stop lying because what can get better than that? Nothing.
Sitting on the back patio of my grandparents, looking out into all the trees, and watching the deer run by is one of my forever favorite places. Whether I’m out there alone with a good book or sitting with the rest of my family sharing stories and laughing about the memories, it’s a great place to be. This weekend was one of my favorites. My immediate family, both sets of grandparents, and some of my aunts, uncles and cousins all came together this weekend to be with me one more time before I leave.
It meant so much to me that they all spent their Labor Day weekend with me. Time with my family is one of my favorite things, so one of the hardest parts of being gone for 11 months is that I will miss all the holidays and the family get-togethers. Christmas is my absolute favorite and knowing my family would all be together this year without me really makes me sad just to think about. But my family wasn’t gonna let me miss out completely! My parents are so sweet and threw an ”all” holiday party for me! In about 40 mins we celebrated halloween, thanksgiving, Christmas, new year, valentines, and my birthday. It was pretty special and honstly hard to keep myself together but we had some good laughs that helped keep the mood light and fun!
Each person in my family showed me so much love this weekend! I am beyond thankful for the time I got to spend with each one of them before I leave. I loved the time spent watching football, or outside taking in the nature, the deep conversations we shared, the laughs, the tears, the crazy time, the quiet time, the time we reminisced on the past and the time we talked about the future-it was perfect!
