Another blog post from a friend/teammate of mine 🙂
To: Kristen/ Love: Ashley
“This month we have been asked to write blogs about our teammates. The other day I picked Kristen’s name out of a hat and have been contemplating what to write. I was trying to think of fun and creative format ideas, but my mind kept coming up blank. I thought of choosing scripture that affirmed her as a woman of God but questioned if that was “fun and creative” enough. As my mind wandered again, I decided to consult my good friend Google. Typing “Kristen” into the search bar, I wasn’t ready for the answer.
The very first thing that popped up was “Kristen: Latin origin, Follower of Christ.” My eyebrows raised, and I knew the Holy Spirit was telling me to go for the scripture compilation idea. The following are three scriptures that go along with the ways that Kristen lives out the definition of her name as a follower of Christ.
God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Psalm 46:5
Because Kristen trusts in the Lord, whatever she does will be a success in His eyes. She charges forward not fearing failure because she knows He is fighting for her and will not let her fall.
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
Kristen is bold in the way she serves the Lord. No matter what He asks her to do or where He asks her to go, she obeys with confidence. She is quick to speak up for the truth and encourage others to consider their motives.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. Proverbs 31:25
Kristen is strong. Many of her experiences in life have not been easy, but tragedy did not steal her dignity. She moves forward with the assurance that her strength comes from the Lord. Radiating with expectant joy, she anticipates all the adventures she will have with Jesus in the future.
Kristen, it’s been a pleasure to watch you journey with the Lord this year. Your boldness, strength, and joy are things I admire in you. I pray that as this race ends, the fire that was ignited in you during this season only intensifies as the Lord calls you to continue spreading His love to even more people and places.”
It is always encouraging and uplifting and affirming to see how someone else sees you.
Ashley, I love you and thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words!
Thank you all for reading <3
Love,
Kristen
