Today is one of the those moments where it all kicked in!
TRAINING CAMP IS 13 DAYS AWAY!
Training Camp is an 11 Day Intensive Training in Gainesville, Georgia at the Adventures in Missions Headquarters to prepare us for our 11 month mission trip on The World Race. We will be living in tents, taking bucket showers, trying new foods from different cultures that we may experience, we are put through different scenarios, have to pass a 2.2 mile hike with our pack on, spend time in different sessions, and of course get to worship God and grow closer to other future racers.
Training camp is where I finally get to meet my whole Squad(group of 50ish of us that our going on the same route) in PERSON, Finally…and then we will find out who is on our team (group of 7ish that spend time in the same area of the country doing ministry together). How Exciting!
Up until today I feel like the mini panic has not hit me yet.
-I have been slowly buying my gear and only need a few more things
-I have met my first fundraising deadline (thanks to you all)
-I have been constantly talking with my team and other world racers about what we are packing and how we are getting ready for Training Camp
-I also spend time watching videos and reading blogs of current and past World Racers to learn how to better prepare for all this
I am beyond excited and Ready to go but ahhhh still so much to do!!!
-I have random things I have to do like School/Homework, organizing my room, packing away and dehoarding my stuff, plan more fundraisers, make appointments etc.
-I have to organize all my stuff, lay out my stuff, buy some more stuff, figure out how to stuff it all into my pack.
—-At Training Camp and on The World Race, we will be living very minimally but everything we bring has to fit into our pack that we will be traveling with. I think the clothes will be the hardest to pack but we will see. (Video to come of how I end up packing everything)
So this morning…the mini panic has set in…but it’s normal and I know I am not alone in this. It is all apart of the process.
Time to make a To Do list to say the least. Thank you Mom for staying on top of me and making sure I accomplish a few things each day. As much as I can get annoyed sometimes, it honestly helps so much. She’s the best and knows me too well.
I am looking forward to sharing this experience with you starting with Training Camp.
I am only about $5,000 away from being FULLY FUNDED! My goal is to be fully funded by my birthday December 1st! I think it is definitely possible!
-I have some fundraisers coming up but if you have any ideas please let me know!
Make sure you subscribe to my blog by putting your email in so you can get updates every time I post a new blog.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING THIS & SUPPORTING ME!
