If you’re reading this, you probably don’t know me.
You may have subscribed to this blog because of your relationship with Krista and because you were interested in following her journey on the World Race.
You might have a fancy for words and/or a love for missions.
You most certainly did not click on this blog post in search of a strangers words.
The only thing you miiiiight know about me is that I am going to be on the World Race with Krista. (I know, I am so lucky to serve with her.) She and I haven’t even met yet! But I see so much in her already. I feel like I’ve gotten a glimpse of her soul through our messages back and forth, and it’s beautiful. She is one to be on the watch for — big things are coming this year.
Can I just say, that as a supporter of hers, you are doing something AMAZING. By giving her money, you are not only helping make her dream a reality, but you are changing the lives of people you haven’t met.
Strangers.
(I’m not just talking about me, although you are also changing my life by bringing Krista my way!)
But I am primarily talking about the people overseas who will meet Krista and be impacted by her mission.
People from all corners of the earth.
That sweet girl living in the Philippines who is experiencing the hopelessness of poverty.
That elderly woman living in the mountains of Colombia who has never considered having a relationship with her Savior.
That bright young boy in Swaziland who lost his parents to HIV aids soon after he was born.
That young woman in Thailand who is forced to sell her body and thinks that the only relationship with a man is an abusive one, because it’s all she knows.
Or that kid in Nicaragua who studies hard in his English classes, because he believes that his future is much brighter than his past.
THESE STRANGERS. These important humans who are just waiting to have their lives changed by a missionary, and they don’t even know it. The Holy Spirit is already orchestrating these meetings across the globe, preparing the way.
Krista is the vessel. We are all the vessel. God takes our little human lives and implants a MASSIVE MISSION that brings Him glory, and rightfully so. There are people all over this world who don’t know Him, and therefore don’t know the hope and love and joy of a life serving and getting to know the one who created them.
As a supporter who gives their money to and speaks their prayers over Krista, you have been an essential part to the work of God’s Kingdom. You are sending Krista to people across the ocean that God has specifically set aside for her to meet and build a relationship with. And in the meantime, God is already whispering to their hearts and inviting them to a life with Him. And when Krista and the rest of our World Race team arrive at the scene, He will be speaking through us and providing important encounters that will change the course of people’s lives.
THAT IS HUGE. Supporting a missionary is being a missionary yourself. Not only in giving your money to send them out across the globe but to keep up the mission at home. There are hurting people everywhere who are feeling like something is missing from their lives. Their soul yearns for their Creator — they just haven’t been introduced to Him yet.
Thank you for your support of Krista and sending her to our team. Thank you for your continued prayers and your heart for missions. Thank you for accepting the call that God has given to His people — making disciples of alllllllll nations. Every tribe. Every tongue.
