This is a lot of what my life has looked like for the past 2 weeks now. This is my ministry host in Côte d’Ivoire. His name is Jean Claude (he is in the middle below). He is a faithful servant, missionary, and evangelist in West Africa. We get to partner with him by sharing the Gospel with truckers at ports (truck stops) around Côte d’Ivoire.

My team with Taylor in the front, and then back left to right is Kierra, me, Christa, Vanessa, and Kelly.

He travels almost endlessly leaving behind his wife and children in Abidjan with the vision to share the gospel in the Muslim world in west Africa by seeing truckers accept Jesus. Then on their own trips, they begin to share Jesus as well. They deliver goods into so many different countries that they go places we may never step!

Part of this also means partnering with the local churches who go out and evangelize even in the absence of the missionaries. God is truly working here.

These men (among many others) heard the Gospel and accepted Jesus! It was beautiful. They were also equipped with a card to refer to pastors or missionaries where they travel to and SIM cards loaded with an audio bible in their own languages so that they can continue in discipleship.

I’m excited to see God’s Kingdom advancing and even more excited to share it with y’all!

With love,

Kim

I’m asking for prayer for us as a team. We are adjusting to life continually together in completely different cultures.

We’re also partnering with a lot of different local teams across Cote d’Ivoire and they also need encouragement and prayer. They’re strong, passionate, full of faith, and beyond hospitable. Pray for refreshing times and perseverance.

Pray for our truckers. Many of them come from a Muslim faith and leave behind so much culture, families, and communities to accept Jesus. This is not an easy decision! Pray for those that have heard the Gospel and are still learning and thinking about it. Pray also for those who’ve accepted Jesus – that they’d stay strong in the face of persecution and also get involved with the body of Christ for community and discipleship!
