So…. I haven’t blogged in a hot minute lol. Hot minute meaning almost 3 months? Anyway I don’t even know where to start. I’m no longer in South Africa, and saying goodbye was hard but something I made peace with. I miss the community there, the people, and definitely the fresh air. Bringing me to my next/current adventure, Thailand!
We are currently in Chiang Mai, Thailand, which is currently has one of the worst air pollution in the world. But it’s also vibrant and always moving, filled with so many people and cultures. For the past month our ministry has been at a place called Agape Home, an orphanage for children with HIV. And wow is it both wonderful and hard. I spend a lot of time painting and seemingly doing the same thing over and over but then there are the beautiful moments when I get to be with the kids.
As per usual my heart has been utterly captured by the babies room. Not a surprise really. But they have the most beautiful smiles and even as young as they are they all have such personality. And i’m not supposed to pick favourites I know, but guys you haven’t seen this kid (our ministry has asked us not to release names although pictures are ok-picture coming soon). He’s so bright and happy and you can hear the poor things breathing. He rolls instead of crawling and bounces when he sees a friendly face. With only one month left it’s going to hurt to leave him.
My 20th birthday is in two weeks and that blows my mind guy. I’ve been alive for almost 2 decades like what? ALSO IMPORTANT!!! For my next blog I’d like to do a Q&A so if anyone has any questions (about worldrace, ministry, travels, life, God, or my favorite color) literally anything, LET ME KNOW!!! I’m not really sure this blog makes a lot of sense so please ask me questions so I have some sort of direction. ANYWAY thanks for reading I love you all and I can’t wait to see you all in 2 months! BYE!!!
