Hey everyone! I know its been quite awhile since I’ve posted a blog. This blog will be answering the five most common questions I get about World Race Gap Year.
1. What is World Race Gap Year?
World Race Gap Year is a 9 month mission trip to 4 countries. I am going on route 4 which means I will be going to Guatemala for 3 months, Thailand for 1 1/2 months, Malaysia for 1 1/2 months, and Swaziland for 3 months.
2. What made you decide to go on the Race?
When I went to Haiti for the first time in 2015, I felt God begin to spark a passion in my heart for missions. I have been praying about what He wants me to do with my life, pretty much everyday since then. I continued to be pointed back to missions, which leads me to World Race Gap Year. I really want to take this time in my life to pursue missions full time and just see what God does and where He leads me.
3. When will you be leaving on the Race?
I will be leaving in six months. (which is still so crazy to me) I leave in September.
4. What will you be doing for ministry on the Race?
Ministry will look like a lot of different things really. It could be working in local schools, building projects, or helping out a local church, just to name a few. At the end of the day our ultimate goal is to spread the love of Jesus with everyone one we meet!
5. How much money do you have to raise?
I have to raise a total of $15,800. This amount covers all of my flights, food, lodging, and medical insurance for the nine months I will be gone. God is so good, he continues to provide for this trip in crazy ways! I know He will be faithful to continue to provide what I need for this trip. I want to thank all of you who have donated to my trip so far! It has been such a blessing to me. Right now as I am posting this blog I’ve raised $6,344! I am $3,656 away from reaching the amount I need to have raised by August!
I hope this answered a few of your guys questions! Please feel free to message me if you have anymore questions! Thank you so much for reading my blog and taking the time to follow my journey! Don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already to get updates whenever I post a new blog!
