“So, what are you going to do now?!”. I’ve been asked that question about 5,876,328,938 times since the World Race ended. I figured I’d just send out a little blog update to let you all know I’ve got some exciting things on the horizon!

Beginning on January 18th I’m going to be LEADING a mini World Race! Semesters, is a 1-3 month program through Adventures in Missions where adults ages 18-22 can live out the Great Commission, sharing the Gospel in different nations.

I will be leading a 3 month long Semesters trip to Cambodia and Thailand! I AM SO STOKED. While I was on the Race this past year the Lord confirmed one of my greatest passions – helping people figure out and step into their passions and calling. This past year one of my favorite things was getting to see my squadmates find out what their God-given dreams and talents are and watching the Lord call them out in courage to use them every single day. That kinda stuff makes my heart leap out of my chest.

When I was in Nepal, I read the book, “The Sound of a Million Dreams” by Suanne Camfield (I HIGHLY recommend it!) One quote from her book really rocked my world –

“So what do you want to do when you grow up?

It’s a timeless question.

Maybe we need to stop forcing people to answer the question and, instead, invite them to spend more time listening to their lives, to create moments where their own stirring can inhabit their soul and invite them to look at their lives anew, spaces where they can see the pieces of themselves that have been lost, and rediscover parts that were never meant to be buried so deeply under trying so hard to figure out what they were supposed to do when they grew up.”

– The Sound of a Million Dreams

I feel like we put so much pressure on ourselves to DO something with our lives, but I’ve learned that God simply asks us to slow down, spend time with Him, and allow Him to show us who He created us to be. On the Race God invited me to spend time simply sitting with Him while He reminded me who He is and who He says I am. He reminded me of passions I had buried under piles of fear. He opened my eyes to the gifts He has given me to share with His people. He allowed me to see and experience His unending love. The past year was the most transformative, soul-shifting year of my life.

The fact that God is leading me to walk alongside this new team of young adults longing to radically serve their creator gets me SO EXCITED! I can’t wait to see God shift perspectives, heal old wounds, and highlight the gifts and passions He has given them.

While this actually is my ultimate dream job, unfortunately I don’t get paid, in fact I have to pay. Leave it to me to have a dream “job” that requires me to pay them lol. As a leader I am not required to raise the full amount of the trip, but still need to raise $4,500 to cover some of the costs (flights, lodging, food etc.)

If the Lord leads you to support me financially, well then hallelujah! It’s super easy to donate online on the home page of my blog. All donations are tax deductible. If you would rather mail a check, you can mail it to:

Checks can be made out to Adventures in Missions with my name in the memo line! You can either make a one-time donation, or set up a monthly donation. I really appreciate any amount!

As always, I am so thankful for your prayers. I can’t wait to see what new adventures God has in store for these 3 months. Hopefully no more terrible bathroom stories if ya know what I mean…..

In my next blog I’ll go into more detail on the types of ministry we will be doing in Cambodia and Thailand!

There’s also another massive, exciting thing on the horizon that continually blows my mind. Let’s be honest, most of you already know, but I’ll write a blog on that someday soon.

Love you all BIG.
