There are about 2 weeks until training camp.
WHAT
That’s honestly crazy to me. When I first applied for the World Race GY there were 36 weeks until training camp. And now there are about 2.5! It’s crazy. I remember reading blogs and watching videos non-stop the first few weeks after I got accepted, anxious for the time when I would finally be able to meet the people I had just started to get to know, learn more about how we can spread the love of God in different countries, learn more about the different countries, and be in an environment where the main focus is living for God/spreading the love of God and growing in your relationship with Him in a way you really can’t at home.
And now I am 2 weeks away from being able to hug those people who have now become close friends and be able to “do life with them” and learn even more about how we can allow Christ to work through us in these upcoming months; both before we leave and on the field. (Also fun fact: Training camp is where I will find out my team, city in Costa Rica, and my first assignment!!)
God has been doing some amazing (and pretty difficult) things in my life while waiting those 7 months for training camp and ultimately launch (which is only 2 months away!). And I wanted to share them with you! Each one will be a different blog post (because otherwise this post would be looongggg) and will be uploaded throughout the day/week.
Fundraising update!! WE ARE OVER HALFWAY FUNDED!! Those lyrics from that one Big Time Rush song pop in my head every time I say that.
