Hey friends! It’s been a while since I updated this blog so there’s a bit to catch you up on! God has been working like crazy in my life the past few months.

I actually went back to school this semester! As I was about to withdraw from my university (the day before classes started), I found out that they added a Cross-Cultural Ministry major. It was crazy at the time because that’s what I have felt God’s call to do but Trinity didn’t offer it at the time. So I registered for classes on the first day of classes! Just a little last minute! I absolutely love my classes I am taking for the major and some of my professors are the most caring people I have ever met. The fact that God brought me back to school after I said goodbye to friends and was mentally prepared to not go back was stressful, but He has shown me in so many ways that this is what He wanted me to do.

Although I am still not doing great in my classes and have realized this type of college-level education is not what I plan to continue (a blog about that coming up later!), God has given me so much to be thankful for. I can’t even imagine going on the race without taking my Cross-Cultural Missions class, or my Intercultural Communications class, or my Intro to Ministry class. Those classes have opened my eyes to so much already and I am extremely thankful that God brought me back to school to take those classes.

I have gotten a lot closer to old friends and made some new ones. They are some of my biggest supporters and are constantly asking how they can pray for me and how they can pray for the others on my route!

A quick fundraising update too: I am at about $2,500! God is so good!! For my birthday (March 28), I am not asking for any gifts from friends and family. I am asking everyone if they could donate $20 (for my 20th birthday!). My goal is to get to my $5,000 goal by MARCH 31st!!

Thank you to everyone who has been so supportive during the preparation for the World Race Gap Year!! Although it can be stressful at times, the prep and fundraising have made me put my trust and hope in Christ. If it is His will, He will make a way!!

If you would like to support me on my mission trip and before I leave, feel free to shoot me a text or email! Especially if you have questions! Any donations are very much appreciated.

PLEASE PRAY! Please continue to keep the other racers and me in your prayers as we continue to fundraise and prepare for training camp (July 9-20) and launch in September!!
