5 years ago I came to Haiti for the first time. It was my first international mission trip. Today I am back in Haiti celebrating my 23rd birthday!! God has truly brought me full circle in every aspect and written a beautiful story for my life. It is still surreal sitting here writing this. 5 years ago I could have never imagined that I would be back in this country preaching the Gospel and and sharing the light that Jesus has given me. So much has happened in the last 5 years, both good and bad but God has used it all for good to bring glory to His Kingdom. I am so grateful for how the Lord has transformed my life and renewed my heart. By His grace, I am continuing to grow as an individual and a disciple everyday.
As I sit here overlooking the hills and ocean of Haiti, I am in awe of the amazing opportunity I have right in front of me and am excited to see the Lord fulfill his promises and purpose for my life. Currently I am reading the wonderful birthday cards that my mother put together for me in advance. I am continually reminded just how lucky and blessed I am to have such loving friends and family. Thank you for all the birthday wishes and love. Today I spent my birthday with my team. They definitely made me feel special and loved me well. We went to the most beautiful waterfall and then enjoyed some pizza after. Best day ever!!
